MCM London Comic Con. 25th-27th May 2018.
It’s almost time for another Comic Con. MCM London is just around the corner and I can’t wait. I was there last October and there was so much to see and do! I got up close and personal with the Batmobile, saw dozens of actual Marvel costumes that were on display and even got photoshopped into a Justice League poster! I am excited to go again this year as it’s already looking to be an impressive Con.
It will be hosted at the ExCel Convention Centre which has a huge floor-plan so it won’t be too crammed! As we all know, Cons gets warm and busy when a building is filled with people, even more so when there are cosplayers present! I remember from last year though that this particular arena was well planned out and there was lots of room to move around. Everyone had plenty of room to move about looking at the many stalls and exhibits and there were also allocated areas for sitting and recharging (both for humans and devices!).
This year looks set to be a very action packed weekend. Here are just a few of the things that will be on offer to the guests.
- Gaming Area– Companies such as Bandai, Blizzard Entertainment and Nintendo will be there showing off their latest games and there will be plenty of games to play as well.
- Special Guests– This year there are going to be lots! There will be stars from Deadpool 2, The Walking Dead and Orange Is The New Black. Felicia Day, John DiMaggio (the voice of Bender and so many iconic characters!), Rosario Dawson will be all there and so many more!
- Stalls– There were so many vendors there last year and I am looking forward to see what catches my eye this time. Funko will also be back there this year and have said that they may be bringing some exclusives!
- Cosplay -No Con is complete without cosplayers and this event is looking after them well! There will be contests happening all weekend and facilities if anyone needs to make an adjustment or last minute repair.
Seriously, there is so much to see and do at this Con that the organisers have made an App for it. What a genius idea, I have already downloaded mine! On the App there will be news, a list of stall, maps, FAQs and an all important countdown clock!
I will be reporting from the event so I hope to see some of you there. I will be easy to spot, I’ll the be the guy in glasses with his eyes wide open and his jaw on the floor!
MCM London, see you soon!
