“Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons” – Spoiler Free Review
“Never give a paid killer a reason to work for free.”
I have been waiting for this movie as soon as I saw some of the initial talent that would be bringing this story to life and when I first saw the trailer I was even more excited!
Check out this synopsis and the action packed trailer and if you havent already ordered the movie you probably will when the trailer finishes!
“Ten years ago, Slade Wilson-aka the super-assassin called Deathstroke-made a tragic mistake and his wife and son paid a terrible price. Now, a decade later, Wilson’s family is threatened once again by the murderous Jackal and the terrorists of H.IV.E. Can Deathstroke atone for the sins of the past-or will his family pay the ultimate price?”
The action and gore starts early and does not slow down but the gore does step up it’s game! This movie is not for the feint of heart. The gore is not shoved down your throat but there was one scene with a…SPOILER ALERT!
From start to finish I was entertained and was dragged into a story that was both exciting and emotional. I felt that Michael Chiklis did an incredible job of brining Wade Wilson to life. At times he was the mercernary we love to see do bad things to bad people and in other scenes we saw a man that has seen life, experienced regret and be filled with dread. This film gave lots of heart and lots of blood!
As I said, I won’t be releasing any spoilers here as I would hate to ruin the movie for you but there are lots of characters and scenes that are going to blow your mind and also lots of scenes where lots of minds got blown. I told you it was gory! The film is about 90 minutes long but if like you keep rewinding to rewatch the fight scenes it might be considerably longer!
Everyone who worked on this movie did a fantastic job. Comic lovers will appreciate it as will lovers of animation. J.M DeMatteis has done another great job on this movie and I hope he continues to work with W.B Animation/DC Comics for many years to come. He has managed to balance great comic writing with script writing and I want more!
Director Sun Jin Ahn also needs to be thanked for making my eyes be stuck to the screen from start to finish! Fights on the ground, in the air, under the sea…The film had lots of locations and every battle was fun to watch. At some points I didn’t know who to cheer for as there were so many twists and turns.
Romance, regret, revenge and retribution this movie had it all and when you add bucketloads of violence mixed with gritty dialogue you have a recipe for a kick-ass movie. I can’t wait to watch this again and again. I really hope we get to see some more attention given to Deathstroke in the future. It could be animated or it it could be live action, I just want to see more epic fights!
Superrman Vs Deathstroke could work under the right circumstances…
Bravo to everyone that worked on this movie, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
