As soon as I met Art Baltazar at the 2018 Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois I knew I had to interview him and find out more about his life in comics.

He is a comic artist, writer, comic shop owner and a force to be reckoned with! His art style is as unique as his personality and to be able to listen to his origin story and life in comics was fascinating.

Throughout Art’s life so many hurdles have been put in his way but through sheer determination and faith in himself he has become a world famous cartoonist who is recognised for his talent, tenacity and style! This interview has shown me that when you believe in yourself, and you have people around you who support you, nothing can hold you back.

We talked a lot about Superman (of course!) and I loved hearing about how Superman Of Smallville came to be and the moment that Art discovered he would be bringing my hero to life.

I am looking forward to seeing what Art releases next. I REALLY want to see more of Superman Of Smallville and ArkhamManiacs sounds like it is going to be so much fun!
